Our Story
Situated in the countryside to the west of Blackburn, Masjid E Vali is a place of worship, learning, and community service. Established to serve the spiritual and social needs of the local community, the Masjid stands as a welcoming centre for prayer, education, and outreach for people of all backgrounds.
Rooted in the teachings of Islam, Masjid E Vali aims to promote faith, unity, and positive engagement within the wider Blackburn community, and beyond. The Masjid plays an important role in supporting individuals and families while fostering understanding, compassion, and mutual respect.

Nurturing spiritual growth through worship, education, and reflection.
Building a welcoming, inclusive space for all members of our community.
Providing knowledge and learning opportunities for all ages.
Serving others through charitable work and community support.
Our vision is to be a vibrant, inclusive, and forward-looking Masjid that nurtures spiritual growth, strengthens community bonds, and contributes positively to the wider society. We strive to uphold Islamic values while addressing the needs of contemporary life in Blackburn and beyond.
Masjid E Vali is more than just a place of prayer. It is a community hub that supports:
We work to engage constructively with all organisations, faith groups, and public institutions both local and national, promoting cooperation and shared values.
Education is central to our mission. Masjid E Vali provides structured learning opportunities that help individuals understand Islamic teachings and how to apply them in their daily lives. Through classes, study circles, and lectures, we aim to develop knowledge, character, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Masjid E Vali welcomes organised visits and encourages dialogue. We believe openness and understanding are essential to building strong, cohesive communities. The Masjid is committed to transparency, good governance, and serving the needs of both worshippers and the wider public.
As part of the Blackburn community, Masjid E Vali recognises its responsibility to contribute positively to the town's social and cultural life. Through charity work, volunteering, and community partnerships, we seek to support those in need and promote harmony and wellbeing for all.

Masjid E Vali is a modern, purpose-built mosque that opened its doors in 2024. Born from the collective vision and dedication of the local Muslim community in Blackburn, the project took several years of planning, fundraising, and construction.
The community came together to fund the build, with families and businesses contributing generously. The result is an architecturally striking facility featuring a grand prayer hall, dedicated women's prayer area, classrooms, multipurpose rooms, and modern ablution facilities.
Since opening, the mosque has quickly become a focal point for worship, education, and community life on Preston New Road. Its beautiful interior calligraphy, soaring dome, and warm ambience reflect the care and devotion that went into every detail.
Our Imams, led by Mufti Hanif Patel, lead the daily and Friday prayers, deliver sermons, and provide religious guidance and support to the local community. They are committed to fostering spiritual growth, good character, and a strong sense of community, while encouraging positive engagement with the wider society.
